Will it fit my current pallet racking?
The GOLIATH™ racking repair kit has been designed to fit all UK & EU racking manufacturers.
How long will it take to fit?
GOLIATH™ can be fitted in less than 30 minutes.
Is it more expensive than just changing the damaged upright?
In most cases, no, because the repair kit is quicker to install and needs no plant for installation. The repair kit is designed to protect against future damage meaning you will stop replacing uprights repeatedly.
Will my racking carry the same weight loading after a repair?
GOLIATH™ has been designed and tested to carry a 21,000kgs bay load with a 100% overloading safety factor built in making the repair much stronger than the damaged upright it is replacing.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes, and to meet SEMA and EN guidelines, we offer a warranty for the repair and overall structure.
My racking supplier has told me this method is not approved by the racking manufacturer?
The simple answer is, why would they? Racking damage is big business for all manufacturers so a product that is unlikely to ever need replacing makes no sense to them. We listened to our customers’ problems of long lead times and ever-increasing costs and decided to invest heavily in this product so we can offer a faster and more cost effective solution for our customers.
I've been told you can’t have a splice below the bottom beam level?
Yes, we totally agree, which is why GOLIATH™ has been designed differently to avoid bad practices. The damaged upright is cut out using a specially designed jig which gives the upright a factory cut allowing the upright above GOLIATH™ to transmit the loads in the same manner it does with its current baseplate. A splicing kit does not follow this same method.
How do you know your product is safe to use?
GOLIATH™ has received testing to allow it to conform to the following codes:
- BS EN 15512:2020 + A1:2022 Steel Storage Systems – Adjustable Racking Systems – Principles for Structural Design
- BS EN 15635:2008 Steel Static Storage Systems – Application and Maintenance of Storage Equipment
